New York Jets wide receiver Plaxico Burress is shocked that his former New York Giants teammate, free agent running back Tiki Barber is still unsigned.
“It’s crazy,” said Burress with regards to Barber not finding a team . “He’s better than half the backs in the league.”
When Barber played for the Giants back in 2006 you could argue he was better then the majority of running backs in the NFL. But now after being out of the league for over four years, his talent is clearly not where he once was. The Miami Dolphins were the only team to give Barber a work out, and since then things have been silent.
Burress is still hopeful that Barber will get picked up this season.
“I’m very surprised he’s not on somebody’s roster,” Burress said. “But it’s just Week 4. Maybe somebody will call him.”
